Moscow, May 18, Interfax - Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia has urged lawmakers to learn a lesson from the current geopolitical situation and pass laws without regard to anyone but the Russian people.
"I think we are called upon to deeply rethink the vector of public and state development in recent decades. It is important to focus not on what a certain external observer will think about our development, but on how to build the future of the country, based on our historical experience, national spiritual culture and Christian heritage," the patriarch said from the rostrum of the tenth Parliamentary Meetings in the Federation Council.
Russia does not need isolation from the outside world, but it needs "a renewed understanding of sovereignty, not only political, but also cultural, which would extend to many areas, from the economy to the law," the patriarch said.
"We are turning over a page of national history today. This is a fact, and we need great creative forces to build our state and society on new historical foundations and in new historical conditions. The glossy ideology and mass culture aimed at satisfying passions should be left in the past forever," the primate of the Russian Orthodox Church said.
In this regard, Patriarch Kirill suggested that the time has come for Russian lawmakers to "make a special effort to take a new look at the legal regulation of our lives, without looking back at anyone but the Russian people."
The patriarch believes that in the current conditions in global politics, the preservation of traditional values is destined to become Russia's strategic policy. He identified the institution of the family as one of the main values and main pillars. Mass culture mostly does not support traditional family values, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church said. "Take the content of movies: all these love affairs, all these endless conflicts in families, all this parallel life for many - all this is vividly represented in the cinema, and all of this forms a certain idea of a 'normal' model of human behavior," the patriarch noted.
He spoke in favor of removing abortions from the mandatory medical insurance system, accelerating the adoption of a ban on the use of Russian surrogate mothers by foreigners, establishing the position of deputy principals for educational work and creating a safe digital environment for school students, namely, a so-called white Internet.
There are about 25 million Russians outside of Russia in former CCCP republics.
I suspect legal equality is required by treaty for all former CCCP citizens and their descendants in all territories that were in the CCCP.
Satanic.
Kirill’s father is the priest who baptized Putin.
Young Russians with marketable skills and no criminal, government employment or military background should be encouraged to move to the west and assimilate into Western culture. The rest should stay in Russia and look inward while the place is sanctioned into oblivion and turned into a pariah.
