Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Revelation 22

John and the Angel

6 The angel said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God who inspires the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants the things that must soon take place.”

7 “Look, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy written in this scroll.”

8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing them to me. 9 But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your fellow prophets and with all who keep the words of this scroll. Worship God!”

10 Then he told me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this scroll, because the time is near. 11 Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy.”

Almighty Father,

The Creator,

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

Just this week, the News Media was bubbling with excitement, as the very first picture of the Supermassive Black Hole at the Center of the Milky Way Galaxy was shown in a blurry photograph. The size of the thing is inconceivably huge, and, considering that our own Solar System is in an obscure corner of one arm of the Galaxy that encircles it, we can't even begin to imagine its dimensions. Now, take into account the fact that the Milky Way is just one Galaxy among millions, and you can start getting an idea about the immensity of the Universe. Some of the sights we are just now discovering are so exquisitely beautiful, and have been there for billions of years without anybody ever seeing them, except for their Creator.

Now, considering THAT, is the Vision of John so far fetched? The God Who Created the Universe would have no trouble at all creating The New Jerusalem, with the Twelve Foundations of Precious Gems, the Gates of Single Huge Pearls, The Incredible Stream of Living Water, or the Trees that Blossom and Bear Twelve Crops of Fruit every year, with their Leaves possessing Healing for the Nations. Such a God deserves endless praise from our hearts and lips.

The Messangers of God are very awesome as well. However, in every instance, whether it was to Jacob, Gideon, Daniel, or John, we are told not to worship angels no matter how magnificent they appear to us.

There are people who worship the Universe itself, the Forces of Nature, Planet Earth, or "Science". These too are merely created things or the study of them. How much more fulfilling and wondrous it is to worship The One True God Who MADE all that in the first place!

All other worship is like taking your hopes, dreams, and aspirarions and tossing them into a Supermassive Black Hole.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
