“6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.” (Matthew 24:6-8)
“Truly I say to you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knows no man, not the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but My Father only”” (Matthew 24:32–36).
Yup, the generation that sees the birth pangs beginning will see the fulfillment of them.
Jesus was talking about the future in His discourse. He was talking about the generation alive during that future time, not the one He was living in.
It takes deliberate misinterpretation of Scripture to claim that Jesus’ whole discourse was about future generations, and then for one sentence He was talking about the folks He was living with, and then jumped back to talking about future generations again.
Proper interpretation of ANYTHING does not allow for that kind of inconsistency.
Which generation will not pass? Most say when Israel became a nation.
