I suffered through 12 years of Catholic education in the late 50s and 60s. I memorized the answers to countless questions. What is Extreme Unction? What is Sanctifying Grace? My real answer was always, “Who cares??” But I gave the required answer to avoid a beating. My wife also went to Catholic school. We have never been to a mass in 55 years except for weddings and funerals.
I feel sorry for the both of you.
When you die and are judged, and your eternal fate is decided, will God’s answer be, “Who cares?”
