Gee whiz bro. I have reading the Bible, for more decades than I want to admit, but I have no idea what you are talking about in your two posts, 2602, and 2607. Can you explain them for me?

O.K. I’ll try. There are two births, two deaths, and maybe two resurrections. The first is natural, the second spiritual(1Corinthians 15:46). We do not escape the first death so when Christ said “whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die,” he was talking about the second death, the one that we can avoid. Is there a connection between the second death and the cross? I believe there is evidence that there is a connection.

What is the second death? The closest I have come to a definition is Rev. 20:14.There is an eternal separation from God.
Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
We are told that we see through a glass darkly, but here it says we see invisible things clearly. Something invisible happen at the cross. The cross is a figure to help us understand what happen to Christ. When he said “why hast thou forsaken me?” something happened to him that will never happen to us(Heb13:5). Is it possible that the separation of the father and Son is the second death? It is a fearful thing to fall into the hand of the living God. This may explain the fear Christ displayed in the garden when he sweat drops of blood. He knew what was about to happen and he said ”into thy hands I commend my spirit.” In the end he dismisses the “Spirit,”

Lets not forget the pain of the Father who watched his innocent son that day. He chose the most gruesome death to help us understand the cost. Here is one of my questions, When Christ was reunited with his father, was that the second resurrection?

The second resurrection is not mentioned in scripture but is intimated by a reference to a first resurrection. If there is a second resurrection, who could qualify? The people who avoid the second death will not need it and it won’t be offered to the unjust.
Acts 24:15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
The precision of scripture notes that this is one resurrection though it happens in several stages starting with Christ.(Rev.20:5-6)
