This is why the “three uses of the Law” theology is becoming more and more obviously true. (Found in Scripture of course, but Lutherans were the ones who first used the term.)
Use 1: Curb bad behavior thanks to the terror of punishment. This is where all non-Christians—including the SDAs and FRomans are stuck at.
Use 2: A mirror to show how far we’ve fallen and how sinful we are, and how much we need a savior.
Use 3: Serve as a guide for the lives of believers that we can follow joyfully.
Cultists and Catholics not only don’t believe that uses 2 and 3 exist, but I’m starting to believe that it’s literally impossible for them to even intellectually comprehend the idea.
I should thank them for the demonstration of the truth of Scripture, honestly.
