Yes it’s the end of the age, but the Bible also calls it the end of the world (Matt. 24:3).
It’s the end of the world “system” of rebellion against and independence from God.

Yes, and if your Gospel is dependent in any part on your own self-righteousness, prepare for impact. Because you have been misled. It is only by the atoning blood sacrifice on the cross that you can stand before Holy God in righteousness. All we have to offer is our sins.
