Indeed. To wit, I dated a pastor’s kid during college. At first I was impressed by the dude, but once I got past trying to impress him and win his approval, it was obvious he was an arrogant, alcoholic turd with a massive ego. He became an insufferable bore after 18 months and I had to bail on his daughter for the sake of my own sanity.
