I do understand the basic needs for survival.

However, the sex drive is still very strong to the point where I believe most people would put it in the need category.

They do, but they need to correct themselves. They will not die if they never ever have sex. Or even if they never ejaculate (men). That’s the question…will you die? No? Then it’s not a need, it’s a want.
