Sounds like a fake church for tax purposes.
Hey no problem she saw what Pelosi and crew did with the Jan 6 people so it must be ok huh.
Those clients are fortunate to have a caring, upbeat staff like your daughter working with them. The residents know who is into the job and who is merely watching the clock or their cell phones.
Nanny state subcontractors.
I remember when individual states had facilities for those in need of institutionalization.
Some of those facilities were fairly decent places.
Probably a majority of today’s homeless would have been institutionalized fifty years ago which would have probably been better for society as well as the individual, depending upon the state.
State run facilities in red states probably fairly tolerable, state run anything in blue states, intolerable.
Admittedly I only quickly looked at the story here, but from that quick look, it seems to be a case of people perhaps gradually taking on responsibility for handicapped people in exchange for living off of their disability payments. They end up running what could be an unlicensed group home. And then they can’t handle these people, so they lock them in—something also done in legitimate homes for the developmentally disabled, but in this case, is done unsafely.
But apparently because this case can be considered to involve a Christian charity, NBC News is right on it to put the story on its national web site, and to frame the story as people being taken prisoner.
