So do you think the one true church isn’t the Catholic Church then is it the:
Methodist
Episcopalian
Church of Christ
Baptist
Jehovah’s witnesses
Presbyterian
Mormon
Lutheran
Reformed
Church of God in Christ
Assemblies of God
Or one of the tens of thousands of independent churches around the world?
One, holy, Catholic and apostolic church is the Catholic Church.
What you listed are harlot daughters...
That’s the problem with being united with the Mother of Harlots.
The daughters are considered harlots..
The daughters don’t think they are harlots.
Coming out of Babylon just got a lot harder.. and lot more narrow a road..
(1) Not all of those organizations are Sola Scriptura denominations.
(2) How are these alike?
Catholics = Bible PLUS the Vatican
Mormons = Bible PLUS Joseph Smith
Jehovah’s Witnesses = Bible PLUS the Watchtower
Muslims = Bible PLUS Koran-ahamed
(3) Sola Scriptura Christians recognize each other as brothers and sisters in Christ, e.g. Biblical Presbyterians, Baptists and Methodists, etc. I certainly do.
(4) The Eastern Orthodox would disagree that Rome is the “true” church.
(5) If you accept Vatican 2, you think your church is alive. If you reject Vatican 2, you admit your church is dead.
(6) You may there is no salvation outside the “Holy Mother Church”, yet you may also say there is no assurance of salvation WITHIN your church.
Who says the true church of God has to be a denomination? All of these including the Roman Catholic Church are man-made institutions.
BTW, the c in Catholic in the Apostles Creed is not capitalized. So it is not referring to the Roman Catholic Church but instead is simply a word that means universal.
The body of Christ is not a denomination.
It’s made up of people, believers in Jesus, where ever and when ever they have lived.
The unifying bond is the new birth, being spiritually born again by the Holy Spirit’s work of regeneration in a person, not by church membership or affiliation.
If one actually wants to assign a church as being the true church, go to Scripture where Paul tells the Corinthian church that they are the body of Christ.
1 Corinthians 12 explains it well, with Paul saying this in verse 27….
“ Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it. ”
It’s people, not organizations.
The one true church are the body of believers who trust in the sacrifice at the cross as finished atoning work for our sins. You’re naming off denominations and religions, not the church.
The true church is wherever believers gather in his.name and worship him.
Read a Bible.
You lack discernment, thus you conflate the One True SPIRITUAL church with the Catholiciism ORG church. There are likely born again members of the One True Ekklesia in all the named orgs, even including some Catholics. It is not the ORG thast redeems. Redemption comes when an individual turns their will to believe in Whom God sent for their redemption. No priest in any ORG can do that for an individual.
