Watched both seasons in their entirety. There was not a single episode where I did not have joy in my heart and tears in my eyes.

The series is a work of art. The series faithfully and effectively presents the message of Jesus. And yes, it is entertaining.

It is astonishing to me that any Christian could object to this series because, to use an example, Simon the Zealot is shown as an actual Zealot, even though there is no historical evidence WHY Simon was called a Zealot. Or Matthew is portrayed as socially awkward. Etc.

This series is a gift from God in these days where our culture has been degraded, and where Jesus is daily hated or distorted.

So glad someone made up a story ( with very little Biblical reference to work with) for folks like you to explain Simon the zealot and they made up a storyline to show Matthew was socially awkward.

And Moses looked just like Charlton Heston. /S
