When you are told by someone lese your belief is not sincerely held you are basically being told you are going to hell. This is a cornerstone of Christianity - humans cannot judge another human that way.

I’m not sure which angers me more, the continuing demonization of those who want to simply choose for themselves, or the Christian community that goes along with the demonization.
Fr. Matthew’s argument seems similar to claiming that since someone at some time used an SUV as a deadly weapon, you must forever cease driving any SUV, or be considered a hypocrite.
The real issue is whether a drug’s developers relied, unnecessarily, unethically, and immorally, on aborted fetal cell lines to bring their product to market. If they did, then they became part of the problem, and for many people, using their products becomes part of the problem. It is irrelevant what someone else did, somewhere else, at some later time, with the drugs.

What makes you think today’s Catholic Church has anything to do with Christianity? Certainly not their Pope anyway.

One take I have heard heard regarding processing religious exemptions is to ask if an employee has ALWAYS had these beliefs regarding vaccines, etc. And if they have not, that that somehow diminishes their claim.
With those sorts of questions and conclusions, it seems to me that some employers are denying exemptions and not overly concerned, as many employees may not have the resources or time to pursue the matter further.
I never expect much from lazy people who just complain.

Thank you for posting the whole thing. I have advised a few people on religious exemptions and this info is very good to know.
I told my employer that I have a religious objection to the Covid vaccines. I didn’t tell them what the objection was, only that I had an objection.
I will not be requesting a religious “ exemption”. Requesting an “exemption” is an admission that they have a right to review it and make a decision whether or not to grant the exemption.
I’ve informed them that I have a religious objection. They have no constitutional or statutory authority to decide if it’s sincere. It’s none of their business.
Not just lazy; a whiner also.
