“Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many. I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths. When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble" (Proverbs 4:10-12).
All you have to do is look up the word, “right” in a concordance to confirm the fact that the Lord is really, really, interested in what is right, okay? Consider:
“The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes" (Psalms 19:8).
When people go through the mental process of deciding whether they should or shouldn't do this or that kind of thing; it's not always easy to say this is right and this is wrong, and this is the exact line of where right stops and wrong begins. It’s not always easy, but that ought to be the first question that you ask: “Is it right?”
This ought to apply to just about anything you do and anywhere you go. There may be a place where you ask, “Is it right?” Well, it might be hard to tell at this particular juncture: right versus wrong. There may be some other things to consider; but this ought to be the first thing that you decide. It’s not is it most convenient. It’s not is it most expedient? It’s not is it a lot of things. First of all, is it right? “The statutes of the LORD are right.”
“Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way" (Psalms 119:128).
