Advent, from the Latin advenio, which means “coming,” is a time that calls us to prepare for the Lord’s coming. It is a season of preparation and joyful expectation as we await the birth of the Savior. It is also a season that reminds us to wait with hopeful anticipation for the time when Christ will come again in power and glory at the close of the age.
The First Sunday in Advent ushers in the beginning of a new church year. The Scripture texts for each of the four Sundays in Advent exhort us to remain alert and faithful as we await our Lord’s return. Words of the ancient prophets remind us about God’s promised Messiah. And forerunners, such as John the Baptist, teach us how to prepare the way for the Lord’s coming.

Jeremiah 33:14-16
Jesus said to his disciples:
“There will be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars,
and on earth nations will be in dismay,
perplexed by the roaring of the sea and the waves.
People will die of fright
in anticipation of what is coming upon the world,
for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
And then they will see the Son of Man
coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
But when these signs begin to happen,
stand erect and raise your heads
because your redemption is at hand.
“Beware that your hearts do not become drowsy
from carousing and drunkenness
and the anxieties of daily life,
and that day catch you by surprise like a trap.
For that day will assault everyone
who lives on the face of the earth.
Be vigilant at all times
and pray that you have the strength
to escape the tribulations that are imminent
and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Jeremiah 33:14-16
King James Version
14 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.
15 In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.
16 In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The Lord our righteousness.
Thank you for posting this.
I pray that day will be upon us soon.
The whole chapter 21 of Luke is very appropriate for these days.
I believe the Lord will return for His Church prior to the 7 year Tribulation. IMHO
YMMV
Jesus Christ will definitely Return at the battle of Armageddon and then begin his 1000 year reign right after that; right here on Earth.
Even so, come Lord Jesus Christ!!!

>I agree.
I believe the Lord will return for His Church prior to the 7 year Tribulation.
>I do not agree. Had you said this I would agree:
“I believe the Lord will return for His Church AFTER the great tribulation.”
This is what the Bible actually says. A pretribulation rapture is not what the scripture says, it is a theory read into the scripture.
I think this video is interesting. The prophecies of Enoch. It predicts that we are in the age of the coming the Messiah, the Christ.

Thanksgiving is the annual feast for all the family.
Gen 49
1. And Jacob called to his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days:
2. Gather yourselves together, and hear, you sons of Jacob; and listen to Israel your father:

"Great philosophers" and ancient arguments:
Great philosophers have long debated the age-old question: Which came first: the chicken or the egg? The Jews have had a similar ancient argument: Will the Third Temple be built before the Messiah arrives or will it be built after the Messiah comes?
Ask Rabbi Tuly: When will the Third Temple be Built? Malachi 3:1
The answer to this mystery can be found at the very place of the spinning wheels, delivered one piece at a time, like the plot line of the Megillah...
Mal 3.1 Behold, I send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me; and the Lord, whom you seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, and the messenger of the covenant, whom you delight in, behold, he shall come, says the Lord of hosts:
One day I devised myself a plan
That should be the envy of most any man
I'd sneak it out of there in a lunchbox in my hand
Now gettin' caught meant gettin' fired
But I figured I'd have it all by the time I retired
I'd have me a car worth at least a hundred grand
I'd get it one piece at a time and it wouldn't cost me a dime
You'll know it's me when I come through your town
I'm gonna ride around in style, I'm gonna drive everybody wild
'Cause I'll have the only one there is around.
One Piece at a Time -- Johnny Cash
"I've never considered myself a thief, but GM wouldn't miss just one little piece, especially if I strung it out over several years."
Along the way, there were a few problems, as the story goes. But with a little ingenuity over 2000 years, by the time the courthouse got done typing, the title weighed one talent.
The Temple.. what model is it? Well it's a 70, 71, 72, 73... 19, 20, 21, 22
With Thankful Hearts, We Prepare for the LORD's Coming
The Torah begins with a big bet; i.e. a big house (an enlarged letter bet). A numerically enlarged bet is 1000x -- 'ב
= 2000
("United States of America" [ארצות הברית של אמריקה] = 2000)
The same as the number used for the time since Jesus, or since the Romans destroyed the Temple. 2000 years.
Now if the God of Abraham is the Master of deadpan as I suspect, He would do something like inscribe "2000" on a sign, and then hang it at the front door of the Messiah's own house. Heh, yeah even hang a Greek or Roman sword over it, just to watch the fireworks. Because.. "great philosophers" and ancient arguments. They just didn't prepare.
3. Is the description in Psalm 72 applicable for a leader today? Why or why not?
Yes!!! Because Keep on the Sunny Side (more from Johnny Cash, an American Original).
A VERY BLESSED THANKSGIVING TO ALL!
