Dozens of churches in India were not allowed to hold worship services for a third consecutive Sunday after authorities imposed a complete ban on Christian religious gatherings at the behest of radical Hindu nationalist groups, according to a report.
More than 50 house churches in the Jhabua District of Madhya Pradesh state were not allowed to gather for worship on Sundays due to the Sub-Divisional Officer issuing a circular to police stations in the Thandla and Megnagar blocks declaring a complete ban on Christian gatherings that do not have permission from the local magistrate, the U.S.-based persecution watchdog International Christian Concern reported.

Christians and Jews will always be persecuted.
India is supposed to be a Democratic country.
... with freedom of religion guaranteed for all.
a billion people, and they’re skeerd of .001 of the population?
Y’know, India is sounding a good candidate for “Let’s you and him fight” type diplomatic jiu-jutsu.
It would be a total pity if the PRC and India did massive damage to one another.
They should change the service to Saturday. Saturday is the real sabbath anyway unless you believe the Roman Catholic Church had the authority in the 4th Century to change the day God commanded be observed. I don’t!

India is a socialist country that has a long established culture of hierarchical privileges (the caste system) in which individual rights are reviled.
The caste system apportions civil privileges according to birthright and the evil of Hinduism enforces this sick and depraved system.
Christianity is particularly hated by the damnable Hindus because lower caste Hindus who convert to Christianity subsequently refuse to submit to the caste system.
I’ve had to work with upper caste Hindus (Brahmins and Kshatriyas) in the past and in general have found them to be arrogant and imperious. They cannot tolerate criticism and they are almost uniformly ‘woke’ because they use wokeism to inflict their bullying on others.
It’s why I am often ambivalent about the China-India border conflict. I’m not sure I’d want to prevent a nuclear war between those two oppressors.
In other words, you believe whatever you want to believe.
I can understand suspicions, but actual extent records tell us that Sunday has been the day of worship for the ancient Christian Church since at least the early second century.
2nd amendment ping. Never give up your weapons, folks. Never.
Correct, but he sabbath is on Saturday.
A ritual where Jews offered worship in the temple.
But the day of Worship for Christians is established by Jesus who died on Friday, rested on the (seventh) Sabbath day, but rose on Eighth day of the new covenant and restoration of humanity.
No, the Sabath is on Saturday forever. This does not lesen Sunday meetings, but the Shabaty is the rest day.
