Archbishop LeFebvre called it a “new religion”. (I don’t think Holy Father Pope Francis would disagree now, after all these years.) The ultimate fate of the new religion is to become like Congregational Churches, Churches of Christ Without Christ (Flannery O’Connor - Hazel Motes - https://youtu.be/J0pMmth5tDw ) which, having lost their belief in Christ’s Divinity, would just sit around facing each other foursquare in the meeting house, each member stating his opinion while the others look at him, Christ’s salvific mission having been totally leached out. This leads ultimately to “The Church of Friends” (Quakers) who can’t even reproduce themselves, living dinosaurs. The new religion is pathetic.
