I think they are Moses (who represents the Jewish law) and Elijah (who represents the Old Testament prophets).

Since after the rapture we are back on the Jewish clock (Daniel’s 70th week), I think God will use them to bring Israel to himself (”all of Israel will be saved” (Romans 11:26)) but maybe not too many Gentiles since those Gentiles that would be saved have just been raptured to be with Jesus.

Does he talk about any of that stuff? (I don’t have time now to watch 50 minutes).

BTW, Ignorant Fisherman, your posts are pretty cool.

Thomas Stuart Russell has another theory: that the two witness are James (head of the Jewish congregation in Jerusalem) and Paul (head of the gentile congregations). They both died at about that time with no definitive narrative of their deaths. This puts them at the end of the age, as Daniel predicted and as Jesus told them in the Olivet Discourse.

Too many self styled “preachers” have declared themselves to be the “Two Witnesses”.
One started his own group back around 1918, and he ended up in Jerusalem after WWII waiting for the End Times.

Another couple, about 40 years ago, a married man and woman, near Jasper Arkansas, declared themselves to be the Two Witnesses, and had a shootout with police on the bridge there. Both were shot. Wounded, the woman then shot her husband, then herself.

when it happens we might know. Or, they may not reveal who they are, since they will be busy judging evil and preaching the gospel.

Well, I listened to it. He, like me and others, thinks the two witnesses are Moses and Elijah.

I think he’s pretty much on the right track, although some of what he says is a bit sketchy.

I think the most important thing today for believers is to understand that “rightly dividing the word of truth” means making the correct division between the between the Old Covenant of the Law and the New Covenant of Grace. Traditional church teaching simply fails to make that distinction.

However, God is on the move today to fulfill Jude 3 and restore the “faith that was once delivered to the saints”: the gospel of the New Covenant of Grace. Also, we should also be aware that right on the heels of this revival among believers will be a merciful and glorious revival in the world fulfilling Luke 14:23 before that great and terrible day.

God Bless.
