say it ain’t so....churchy people with ulterior motives.
I don’t know which is worse. Church people doing this or the judicial system not doing anything to go after the criminals?
Thank goodness there are never any “non-churchy people” with ulterior motives.
“Churchy people” aren’t always born again people, and just masquerade as Christians, but yes, even born again People can fall into the sins they used to do or get involved in sins they never did. They aren’t perfect people, they are simply sinners who are saved, but who are Not immune to falling away from God and reverting back to their wicked ways. That is the insidiousness of sin- noone is immune to it, and Satan is always on the lookout for weak-willed folks who will succumb to temptations- saved and unsaved alike, “churchy” and “unchurchy” alike
Bruce Gerencser, the man who posted this story, is an atheist who rejected his evangelical Protestant background. While the abuse he describes may well have happened, he makes accusations without any backup. Gerencser described the late Lester Roloff as an abuser. While Roloff was a tough disciplinarian, there was never a hint of sexual scandal.
