Your sacraments and most of what the Catholic Church compels you to do are empty works!
Your religion is exactly what Jesus was talking about when he referred to the Pharisees and the Sadducees and told them that they were like whitewashed tombs.
Apparently, you did not read Galatians 3. It is a perfect description of your religion. You continue to depend upon your works and this make your faith empty and meaningless.
You say some of the right words but you have no idea what they mean, you sprinkle them sparingly in your explanation, as if that adds credence to your conclusions.
Last rites serve no purpose. Neither does your baptism, neither does your first holy communion, and neither does your confirmation. I received all of the latter by faith and they never served any eternal purpose. They certainly do not “confer grace.“ They only set up your adherants to believe they are doing the “right thing“ instead of doing what God asks in scripture.
Contrary to what you say, The Catholic Church teaches its adherents to place their so-called “faith” in their works. I know this from first hand experience.

This thread is about a decent man who was attacked and then cruelly denied the comforts of his faith while he lay dying. No one asked you to butt in and shit all over it.
