“The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened” (Proverbs 10:27).
Reading the word of God just might keep you healthy. It just might keep you safe.
“There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health” (Proverbs 12:18).
It’s health. Physical health.
“Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones” (Proverbs 16:24).
That’s your bones being spoken of there. I understand that pleasant words calm the spirit, but it says here that they are health to the bones. Do you believe it? God said it. Why don't you believe it?
“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God” (Psalms 42:11).
A relationship with God is health to my countenance.
To honor thy father and thy mother is the first command with promise because God’s promise is for long life. Well, that’s a different health diet than we are accustomed to hearing from these new agers.
