But it says in Revelation that the false prophet comes from the land — as opposed to the sea, used to indicate Gentiles — which would indicate he may be Jewish. Moreover, if it seems the Islamic Mahdi is a likely candidate for the beast then the false prophet claiming to be Jesus probably will at least claim to be Jewish, as that’s a feature of their “prophesy” too (which is like a reshuffling of the cast of Revelation). Considering the rebuilt temple it would make further sense that the false prophet were Jewish … something Jews might accept right up until he starts pointing to his Islamic buddy saying that he should be openly worshipped.

The current occupant of the Vatican — given that he’s already openly displayed a pachamama idol and is situationally not hindering, if not outright helping, to advance homosexuality whilst turning a blind eye to abortion — might bow down to a false prophet though.
