At every point in history thus far, when naysayers “trolled and accused”, they were right, and the doomy-gloomies were wrong.

The batting average of those calling for the end of the world has been pretty abysmal.

2 Peter 3
God delays the last day, in his mercy
This is the second letter I have written to you, dear friends of mine, and in both of them I have tried to stimulate you, as men with minds uncontaminated by error, by simply reminding you of what you really know already. For I want you to remember the words spoken of old by the holy prophets as well as the commands of our Lord and saviour given to you through his messengers. First of all you must realise that in the last days mockers will undoubtedly come—men whose only guide in life is what they want for themselves—and they will say, “What has happened to his promised coming? Since the first Christians fell asleep, everything remains exactly as it was since the beginning of creation!”

I found it a pretty decent article. It doesn’t forecast the end date. It outlines some important events in September and looks for potential occurrences in the near future. Aren’t all adherents to Abrahamic religions doing this?

Excerpt:

And just as the appointed times in the spring were fulfilled by the first coming of Jesus, so will the appointed times in the fall be fulfilled by the second coming of Jesus.

I am certainly not saying that any particular event will happen during any particular year, but each year we want to be alert for whatever God may want to do during His appointed times.

This year, all of the appointed times that arrive in the fall just happen to occur during the month of September...

-The Feast of Trumpets (also commonly known as Rosh Hashanah) begins when the sun goes down on Monday, September 6th.

-Yom Kippur begins when the sun goes down on Wednesday, September 15th.

-The Feast of Tabernacles begins when the sun goes down on Monday, September 20th.

In recent years, an increasing number of Christians have started to celebrate these appointed times. Every single one of them throughout the year tells part of the story of Jesus, and when you understand how God orchestrated very elaborate prophetic patterns centuries in advance it will greatly strengthen your faith.

As we move into the upcoming appointed times and the remainder of 2021, there are certain things that I will be watching very carefully.

Once again, I will have my eyes on Israel. It has been described as God’s timepiece, and it will be the center of so much that happens during these last days.

Right, but don't be among those "scoffers [who] will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, 'Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.'" 2 Peter 3:3-4.

It has been a long time waiting - 2000 years since Christ's crucifixion - and there have been many false prophets along the way.

But remember, that day is coming and very soon.

Remember, it is amazing how long it seems we have to wait for the time for us to have what is to be ours, but when the time comes, God makes it happen VERY QUICKLY.

He's coming soon "in the twinkling of an eye". Just be ready.

The bible says there will be scoffers in the end times. Russia added more runway in Syria on the border of Israel to handle heavy bombers. Turkey, Russia and Iran are setting up to attack Israel.

God said the generation that saw Israel become a nation won’t pass away before Jesus comes back. We are in the yr 73. He could come back at anytime

Until it happens.

So are you saying that God is lying in Scripture about the end times prophecies and that it's going to happen?

The key for the events around the last days is Israel. Until Israel again became a nation, there was no way prophecy about the end could be fulfilled. When Israel became a nation, that's when people really could start looking for fulfilled end times prophecy.

The worldwide conditions necessary for the antichrist to step into the scene and dominate the world didn't exist for a long time after Israel's establishment.

You do realize, don't you, that it's more than just one sign that is the indicator? Many things have to fall into place, especially geopolitically. It takes time, and it behooves us to be aware and warn people because NOBODY knows when things are going to heat up quickly.

Look at the last year and a half. Would you think things would have taken such a downturn here in the US, especailly since Jan of this year?

So we warn people because if we waited thinking that it's not time yet, then it's going to be upon us and take us by surprise. By giving people fair warning, they can be ready for it to happen at any time, and if they should not live long enough to see it, then they are also ready to die.

So we warn people to repent because the end times is at hand, much the same as Jonah warned the people of Ninevah. The people did and God held off the judgment for a number of years.

Besides, God never just slams down judgment on people without warning them first. He always gives ample time for repentance.

So are you really miffed that God is not judging the world on your timetable?

"Doomy-gloomies"??? More like blessed hope and trusting in the promises of God.

Beloved, do not let this one thing escape your notice: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance. (II Peter 2:8,9)

Can you honestly say the world is getting better and better?
