From a Biblical perspective, according to Scripture, speaking as one who is Born Again in the Shed Blood of Jesus Christ, there is far more validity to the Torah then there is to the added books of Roman catholicism.

Did the Pope say that "the added books of Roman Catholicism" gave Life or fulfilled any promises?
No, he did not. So why bring it up?
The issue the Pope raised is not the Torah vs. the Koran. Nor the Torah vs. "the added books of Roman Catholicism." It's the Torah vs. Jesus Christ.
And from a Christian perspective, he is correct.
