AMAZING talk From Fr. MIKE a few years back that may help get your teen or young adult back to Mass. It is intended ONLY for a young audience, and it is intended to show them how it is possible to have intimacy with Christ. (45 mins not an hour.)
Also to mote, he tells the graphic, yet heart wrenching, story of a murdered child near the end of the talk, so you know.
The Hour that will Change Your Life
Copy this link and fwd it your teen or young adult who are staying away from Mass. Tell them you think its from Tim Tok...anything...but once they start watching they won't want to turn it off.
TOPICS: Catholic
KEYWORDS:
Again, this for young people... no crotchety comments from older folks who can't connect with the youthfulness.... The kids are falling away too fast to ignore...

The kids here love Fr Mike Schmitz. He does a faith based analysis of films. Batman v Joker very interesting
He has a very good on line mass. Much more listenable to for adults than many
He aims at kids but intends to bring them ahead where they desire to be (don’t kid yourself).
He is situationally aware not dorky.

I would recommend to the youth of America with an hour to spend to read the first four chapters of the gospel of John after praying to God Almighty to reveal Himself to them through His word, the Holy Bible.
There is NO mediator between God and man other than Jesus Christ.
No need for a priest.

No need for a minister, either, then. Or a "Bible teacher". Or a Bible, for that matter. "Jesus alone" means "Jesus alone".
Be consistent with your minimalism, don't just use it as a phony cudgel to beat up Catholics. It's either Jesus and nothing else, or it's not.

There is NO mediator between God and man other than Jesus Christ.
No need for a priest.
Please reconsider.
The Old foreshadowing the New:
5 Let him do penance for his sin,
6 And offer of the flocks an ewe lamb, or a she goat, and the priest shall pray for him and for his sin:
14 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
16 And he shall make good the damage itself which he hath done, and shall add the fifth part besides, delivering it to the priest, who shall pray for him, offering the ram, and it shall be forgiven him.
And then in The New, fulfilling The Old.
+++ Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.“+++
“Because of the grace given me by God to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles in the priestly service of the gospel of God, so that the offering of the Gentiles may be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.”
So reconsider your idea to mean instead of "no need for a Priest".... to...
"I have no need for a Priest" as the Scriptural evidence shows a need contrary to your own personal "preference".

James 5:
14 Is any man sick among you?
Let him bring in the priests of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.

The New Testament words for leaders of a congregation are: presbuteros (someone with experience in the faith—a mature believer), probatas (shepherd), episcopos (overseer, literally).
The activities of the First Century church are described in the book of Acts (ministry of the word, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, the breaking of bread).
In this matter, it is not I, or other practitioners of austere, non-liturgical (Orthodox, Catholic, Coptic, Anglican) Christianity. Friend, I invite you to read the New Testament and see if there is any whisp or hint of Roman Rite in it.
May your hunt for truth bless your soul.

The activities of the Early Church can also be found in St. PAULS Epistles.

Well no...of course not...its the other way round...it is the New Testament that is found in the Roman Rite.
With the work of Peter and also through Paul, the conversion of Rome to Christianity would be centuries away. The early Church was basically underground, without a New Testament- or much of any scriptural basis beyond the Jewish texts - but plenty of Apostolic Tradition from Christ.
The Didache written around the time of the first Gospels gives an accurate picture of how the early Church was to function - identically to what was formalized into the Roman Rite. Once Christianity began replacing the Roman Empire throughout the World- the One Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church usheted in Christendom.
It was then that the early Church fathers selected, edited and numbered the New Testament Canon as we know it today- which they then began the work of preservation for future generations.
So you can see how the Roman Rite is responsible for giving us the form of the New Testament- and making sure it would survive for us forever.
God Bless.
