This was tonight’s prayer service at Calvary Chapel Chino Hills.

We were supposed to have a Bible Study, but the Lord directed us to pray.

LORD we lift up Afghanistan. Especially our brothers and sisters in the faith who have devoted their lives to loving and serving the Afghan people, as they witnessed to Your kingdom amidst the most hostile and ravaging conditions.

We know that the darkness cannot overcome the light. We know hope is not lost. We pray for You to work a breakthrough and spare the millions of souls in the country of more unbearable suffering and oppression. Please orchestrate the political and diplomatic conditions necessary for a miracle. Use whoever you need to, the leaders of whatever country..Russia, China, wherever...To bring immediate respite to the chaos and suffering ensuing in that land. We trust that You are working all things together for both the temporal AND eternal good of the people of Afghanistan. We pray for the Gospel to be unleashed like wildfire, and even for the conversion of Taliban members. Please break the demonic grip of Islam once for all. Please bring about freedom and economic prosperity. Please unleash the potential of this great people and great land. In Jesus’ name.

i’m just numb right now. it’s so bad i can’t even pray except for groaning with the Spirit.

but thank God for christian leaders like Pastor Hibbs. so few left with the courage to stand with Christ and carry their crosses every day. may God continue to lead them in the Spirit, bless and defend them and their congregations in Jesus’ Holy and Righteous Name. Amen.

Amen.

If you have 45 minutes, listen or watch the service. It was pretty spontaneous. Pastor Jack was prepared to give a Bible Study on Romans, but this prayer service happened.

I felt compelled to post it.

I resisted going to CCCH for a long time because I really didn’t want to get involved with a “mega church.” My wife convinced me to go and now I just can’t wait to go back at least 2 times a week.

Tonight’s prayer service was pretty spontaneous. Although it wasn’t unexpected. I actually told my wife that I expected he would just have a prayer service tonight given all that has happened this week, and that is what happened. I only wish they had kept the music. Copyright issues, I guess.

hi brother. i’d sure like to visit your church when i’m back in so cal.

i think it all depends on the leadership whether mega church or house church like ours. different challenges for sure (big money is a great temptation), but if the congregation and leadership are Spirit led through prayer and worship, seeking the Will of God first, God will continue to bless.
