So you think O.J. is innocent also?
Jesuit General Kolvenbach's Disappeared Report: "Bergoglio Not Fit to Become Bishop"
The response of Father Kolvenbach, based on the opinion of other members of his order, was that Bergoglio was not fit to be appointed bishop. Pater Kolvenbach claimed that Bergoglio's psychological balance was lacking, that he had a deceitful character and that during his time as Provincial, he had divided Argentina.
So you can’t explain, but merely reply with your feelings?
Many do not accept God’s word and thus walk away from Christ and His promise of salvation.
Are you someone who has left the Catholic faith?
You didn’t answer the question. How does leaving the Catholic faith help one gain Heaven?
Show me one scripture that says you will lose your salvation if you leave the Catholic church.
You sound just like Caiaphas when he accused Jesus Christ of the same teaching.
You wrote: Jesus was a proto-communist.
Christ invited us to learn to love, to share for love.
Communists steal from the rich to keep for themselves under the guise of equality, eg, equal misery, using fear to keep people under their heel.
No comparison.
Then show your intelligence by giving me scripture to prove yourselves right. Note: I said SCRIPTURE. NOT the Cart Of Man’s Knowledge and Opinions pertaining to What God MEANT to say. You know, all the traditions and doctrines of your church, beliefs that God forgot to put in His written word.
There will always be unbelievers in God (Our creator that gave us life and the opportunity to be with Him in Heaven when we die).
God has a special place for unbelievers where it is hot and uncomfortable because they will not be able to see or meet God.
We all have an obligation to seek the Truth about our creator and live according to moral values and avoid sin and evil.
You offer no proof that the Catholic Church is “just mythology and crass superstition”.
Show me how you and Caiaphas are not different with SCRIPTURE.
Jesus founded the Catholic Church on the apostles, the first Bishops.
Catholicism does not depart from Scripture. In fact, you will hear more Scripture and more preaching on Scripture in the Catholic Church in my opinion.
You are hopeless. Here you have a great chance to prove your church is the only way to salvation. And you choose a conversation about Caiaphas? You’re ridiculous. Defend your church on the most important belief that has ever existed. The whole world depends on the Catholic church proving through God’s written word that there is no salvation outside the catholic church. I don’t need a doctrinal discourse, or a diary from an early church leader, or a relic from the last person to see a vision of some saint confirming this salvation theory, or even a note and recipe from the last saint who was celebrated for a month.
Put your money where God’s word is. Not on voodoo vows and visions of the this trainwreck of a religion.
Please quit vomiting the same talking points over and over. Scripture is what is demanded by God. Not traditions and doctrines of fallen man .
Look salvation, even Satan quoted scripture. Always ask who said it, who were they talking to and why did they say it. That way you don’t end up playing church and thinking you impress God with your works.
I'm not hopeless. That would be a sin of despair.
I don't give a hoot about your man-made "religion".
Lost and too blind to see. But luckily, you don’t need to se to change a wafer into the Body of Christ, or juice into His blood. Wake up, blow out the incense and candles your’re chocking to death on, spiritually, and start studying God’s word.
I’ll continue to pray for you.
Christ founded His Church on Peter, and it has existed ever since. That is in the Bible.
Protestant denominations have other founders: Luther, Knox, Eddy, Smyth, Henry VIII, Wesley...
The Catholic Church is not based on the Bible but on the teachings of Christ. Certain writings of the Apostolic Age were put together as Sacred Scripture, but these writings were chosen because they aligned with Church teaching, which already existed; not the other way around basing teaching on Scripture.
For example, do you believe in the Trinity? Yet the Trinity as such is not in the Bible. It was the Church which clarified the teaching of this understanding of God at the Nicean Council in the year AD 325.
Make sure you rightly divide the prayer. I’m not in the Kingdom of believers; I’m not Israel.
I’m in the Body of believers the Church the Body of Christ.
There is a difference. One has you at the mercy of your works and false doctrines and traditions of fallen man. It’s located in a building, not a body. And it’s filled with every vile and be sin there is. It just covers this up with beautiful things. But it’s rotting from the inside and not even the incense and candles can mask the stench
The other has you saved and sealed in Christ until the day of redemption. You need to learn about this one. It’s the Gospel of your salvation.
While I could reply, you did not answer the questions.
Here is my answer to your question.
Jesus delegated to His Catholic Church and its leaders to “bind and loose” Mt 16:18-19
“If man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray,...does he not go in search of the one that went astray.” If he refuses to listen to the Church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.”
“Truly I say to you , whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in Heaven.” MT 18:15-18
Also read the Catholic Catechism 846 - 848 “Outside the Church there is no salvation”. Christ gave His Catholic Church the authority to “bind and loose”.
The Catholic Church teaches infallibly, “extra ecclesiam nulla salus,” or, “outside the Church there is no salvation.” But as with all dogmas of the Faith, this has to be qualified and understood properly. The Catechism of the Catholic Church lays out the truth of the matter succinctly in paragraphs 846-848, but I would recommend backing up to CCC 830 for a context that will help in understanding these three essential points concerning this teaching:
1. There is no salvation apart from Christ and his One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. Again, this is an infallible teaching and not up for debate among Catholics.
2. Those who are “invincibly” ignorant concerning the truth of #1 above will not be culpable for this lack of knowledge before God.
3.Those in the category of #2 have the real possibility of salvation even if they never come to an explicit knowledge of Christ and/or his Church.
These make very clear that anyone who is ever saved is not saved by his or her false religious beliefs.
The point of the parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11–32). In this parable, the father of the family represents God, and one of his sons leaves the family and embarks on a life of sin. Yet he repents and is welcomed back by the father, who declares that the son “was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found” (v. 32).
The Catholic Church was founded by Jesus Christ and He is still the Head of the Church. All other churches were founded by men or women.
