He spoke in the garden of Eden, offering half-knowlege, and appealed to the vanity of man,
but told none of the consequence to mankind for violating God's rule of: "do not touch the fruit of this tree".

In the scriptures you will find many instances of Satan talking and being. Never good. It didn’t start with eve either.
