Beloved; May we truly - with all our being - desire what Almighty God desires for us. May we want to know, possess and exercise the wondrous will of Almighty God; which He has provided for us by the shed blood of His dear Son (Eph. 2:14). As we walk in time, may we - who know the Savior - seek to enjoy our redemptive benefits which have been given to us by our God and Savior (1 Cor. 1:30, Eph. 1:3, 2:1-19, Phil. 4:17, Col. 3:1-4) and the heavenly peace of heart that comes with the fact and reality that our sins and trespasses are removed FOREVER (Psalm 103:12, Rom. 7:24-25, 10:4, Gal 1:4). For those who do not know Him as Savior, may you humble yourself and receive Him into your hearts (John 1:12). That my friends that is what “peace on earth" is all about! It is found in a PERSON not a system (Eph. 2:14). My dear friends, REJOICE GREATLY (Phil. 4:4), a Savior was born, died on the cross, rose again and is soon coming again in great glory to establish His 1000 year reign of PEACE AND RIGHTEOUSNESS (Isa. 2:1-4, 9:6-7, 11:1-9, 32:1 Jer. 23:5, 33:15-16, Dan. 2:44-45, 7:7:13-14, Micah 4:1-4)!!!
The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!
Amen.
To live in all the great benefits that are our that you describe, first, as laid out in Romans and the epistles, especially Paul's, we must learn to believe the grace that is ours through Christ's finished work. Believing what God miraculously worked in at the moment we received Jesus.
But there's more. That which is worked in needs to be worked out and manifested in our lives if we are to be truly victorious and fruitful. James described that as being, "perfect, mature, and entire, lacking nothing" (Ja. 1:4(b)). Wow. no more co-dependency. The world, the flesh, and the devil's lies no longer have power over our minds and emotions and we rest and flow victoriously in his finished work. How do we get there? Well. James tells us but most of us don’t like the answer.
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect workJa. 1:2-4(a).
Why trials? I hate trials. I hate all this stuff. But do I want to be perfect, mature, and entire, lacking nothing? YES! Enough to let patience do it’s perfect work through trials and sufferings? “Lord, by your grace, yes.”
May we “run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto (depending on) Jesus the author and finisher of our faith” (Heb 12:1(b)-2(a). May we, like Jesus, for the joy that is set before us, endure the trials and sufferings, “despising the hateful shame”, that we too might sit and reign in life with Christ on his throne.

Puny man is the Only
Creature that says

Methinks James wrote that AFTER he's been through the lion's share of trials and sufferings in his life to bring him to that wonderful place of rest, freedom, and wholeness in his life. I have to be really filled with the Spirt to be joyful during such difficulties. Maybe that's the point - learning how to be filled with the Spirit all the time.
May we attain such a life by grace. Amen.
Jonah’s message was God
would Destroy Nineveh,
God did not and Jonah was
Angry about that.
.
Jonah had issues.
Well... they raped; raided and murder his people; give the guy a break; where’s Nineveh today? Empty city...
Sounds like you got a problem... : )
Jesus talked about
Four Prophets,
Jonah was one.
He and Paul were sent
To the Gentiles and
No one else.
.
My problem?
I’m not much
For Fish ,I guess.
Nineveh,,,
Jonah was called there
and preached REPENTANCE.
Nahum was also called there
and He preached JUDGEMENT.
Two sent to the same
Wicked city.
.
Jonah,
We hardly know Ya!
