Daily Mass Gospel Reflection - Our Father
Word on Fire Ministry ^ | 6-17-2021 | Aux. Bishop R. Barron

ELEVENTH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME

MATTHEW 6:7–15

Friends, the Gospel for today is of great significance, for in it the Son of God teaches us to pray. We hear from not just a guru, a spiritual teacher, or a religious genius, but from the very Son of God. This is why the Our Father, the Lord’s Prayer, is the model of all prayer.

The Lord’s Prayer is the prayer for the Christian journey, which has been offered up consistently for the past two thousand years. Think for a moment how this prayer links us to all of the great figures in Christian history, from Peter and Paul to Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, Francis of Assisi, John Henry Newman, G.K. Chesterton, John Paul II, and right up to the present day.

Keep in mind that prayer is not designed so much to change God’s mind or to tell God something he doesn’t know. God isn’t like a big city boss or a reluctant pasha whom we have to persuade. Rather, he is the one who wants nothing other than to give us good things—though they might not always be the things we want.

TOPICS: Catholic
KEYWORDS:
+++Jesus said to his disciples:
“In praying, do not babble like the pagans,
who think that they will be heard because of their many
words.
Do not be like them.
Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

“This is how you are to pray:

‘Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.’

If you forgive others their transgressions,
your heavenly Father will forgive you.
But if you do not forgive others,
neither will your Father forgive your transgressions.”

Barron is a homo-friendly heretic who dares hope Hell is empty and thus Christ lied in the Gospels and Our Lady lied at Fatima.

Barron tells non-Christians that Jesus Christ is only the “privileged route” to Heaven, not “the only route”.

Barron says he does not want to reverse the legalization of homosexual marriages.

Barron is no shepherd; he’s a ravening wolf.

Barron needs prayers; not publicity and daily promotions.

Worship God, in the Holy Trinity; not some heretic like Barron.

I see you still haven’t looked up the word, “dulia”.

Barron is a heretic, in many ways.

Calumny involves lying.

Not one statement I have made about Barron is false. I have provided you links in the past substantiating every statement I have made about Barron. You have provided none to refute them.

You lied.
You said the Good Bishop was a "ravening wolf".....he is not..and you know that...
he is a human, a sinner just like you and I.
Calumnous.

Now lets have 3 Our Fathers, and meditate a bit on that Trespasses thingy.....

Look at at that; another of Barron’s worshippers pretending to be a womyn “priest”, trying to give out penances.

Pathetic.

I read the other day that the Didache says to say the Our Father 3 times daily, morning, noon, night.

Yep - And almost IDENTICAL line by line- to the way we say it even to this today-
1900 years later- that is equally amazing...
so it cannot be questioned - at all - how central the Lord's Prayer is to the Mass and the Faith..

You wish. Be more concerned about your soul and Barron’s soul.

Neither of you seem concerned about the souls of non-Catholics.

Not so anymore.

The apostate pope has taken it upon himself to change the words of the Pater Noster, with the heretic, Bobby Barron’s approval.

First of all, you are not a mind-reader. And Bobby, is far from being a "Good Bishop".

Barron's certainly a ravening wolf, as well as Cupich, Tobin, Gregory, and Bergoglio are wolves.

If you were my priest, I'd find another parish, a Catholic parish.
