I’ve posted at least 3 verses above that state Christians will not be appointed to Wrath or Judgement or Tribulation.

If you don’t want to digest those and meditate on them - your call.

I’m glad I know. Others like me feel the same.

Have a nice eternity! I know I will!

Dear RWC:
You are a brother in the Lord.
But you are wrong.
Corrie Ten Boom knew better.
Blessings on You and Your House.
Shalom b’Shem Y’shua.

Fool, look up an essay by Holy Deyo on the Rapture. She lists many many references from the early Church Fathers speaking to the Rapture of the Church. Ken Johnson has found an example in the Dead Sea Scrolls, too! You really should stop spittling what others claim and do some real research for yourself ... unless you just like making a fool of yourself.

Why would I engage in reading some crackpot theories with those wanting to sell books? It's just fear porn. I prefer to worry about my personal "end times" and not worry about the supposed "third" coming of Christ.

How long is A Day in Prophecy?

The return of Christ happens on a literal 24 hour day.

Just like we are with Christ 1000 literal years before we return to this earth.

He was talking to Jews. They were all Jews or converts. The New Covenant is made with Israel. She is the Bride of Messiah.

The Greek term apostasia means simply departure. The passage is using a non-technical word that can mean more than one thing / be used in moire than one way. The Apostaia literally means The Departure. And it can be a physical departure or a religious departure from faith. In the context of 1 Thess 4 and the opening of the section in 2 Thess 2 the meaning is best seen as a physical departure so the man of sin can be revealed. Since we the redeemed have The Holy spirit indwelling our spirits, we with He must be removed before the man of sin is reveled.

Brother esopman - love to you!
We disagree, and it’s ok.

I will say this though, the thief on the cross wasn’t even, as far as Scripture says, baptized, yet where is he now?

waiting in the grave for Christ’s return and the resurrection.

Oh so I guess I should just go back to sinning then, since I’m not a Jew.

So, when Jesus said he’d be in paradise today wasn’t true?

“They believed in Him so much that they ran off for their lives when He was crucified - save John.”

And yet they were still the people that Christ himself chose to entrust the gospel with to spread it to the world. I think I’ll stick with Christ’s assessment of these men rather than yours, thank you very much.

He didn’t entrust them until after Pentecost.

On the contrary! If you have believed the Gospel you have been grafted into the commonwealth of Israel; otherwise you would have no claim to the Covenant. However you are obligated to the terms of it.

“He didn’t entrust them until after Pentecost.”

Sure he didn’t, even though in Matthew 24, Jesus says (of his disciples, who you say weren’t Christians):

“9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.”

Seems like Jesus knew he was speaking to Christians who would be persecuted (for being Christians, persecuted in the name of Christ). Jesus can see the future as well as the past, you know.

“If you have believed the Gospel you have been grafted into the commonwealth of Israel; otherwise you would have no claim to the Covenant.”

I agree, but then the distinction that some seem to want to make as to who the “elect” are seems even more silly: “The gentile believers are Jews when we want them to be, but not when we don’t want them to be! It all depends!” is how the argument seems to me.

If you ever learn what it means to be a Christian then you will grasp the following, maybe: When God births someone from above, He uses The Blood of Christ to cleanse the human spirit. THEN HE abides in that born again spirit as the Spiritual Life making that born again spirit alive forever more. Before the shedding of the Blood of Christ, there were no Christians.

After the cross all who call upon the name of the Lord (Jesus, God with us) WILL be saved. During the Age of The Church of Jesus (not an org bu t a body of believers from all nations, tribes, kindred, and tongues - the redeemed seen in Rev 5), during the age of His Church The Holy Spirit ABIDES in the spirits of the redeemed. As contrast, when Adam walked the Earth BEFORE he rebelled the Spirit was upon him like a shawl, not in his human spirit. Therein is the great love of God in allowing Adam to rebel and have the 'shawl' removed so his descendants could have the Spirit within their spirit.

2nd Coming is a description ,not specifically named,

Luke 17
Interesting it begins with the warning to those who deceive then the 10 lepers. Then The Christ's exposition on “the days will come”. After all they saw and heard the disciples ask one question -Where do they go?
We need to explore what the answer represents and understand the broader implications of the beginning of Chapter 17. Jesus complied with Torah in every aspect;including the ‘stranger’ (the leper that returned). This is all encompassing Num 15:16.
Our efforts to differentiate between ‘Jew’ and ‘Church’ may be the beginning of the error in what is being communicated.
