How could they be?
He hadn’t died for them or risen yet.
Heck, Thomas even after He died still didn’t want to believe.
Go back all the way to Matthew 24:15. He’s talking about the A/C standing in the temple and desecrating it - just like Daniel spoke of. The only people who would care about that would be Jews.
Who cares about work on the Sabbath? Jews.
Those verses are written explicitly for modern-day Jews left to survive the unsurvivable Tribulation.
So do you think that you won’t suffer some severe hardships? WW2 saw a lot of carnage, but the church is still here. There were probably many God-fearing souls in Europe that thought: “This is the end!”
I believe the end time signs are here. And I’m not so sure that the church isn’t going to see some rough days. But the last 3 1/2 years will be far worse than anything since the flood.
You can believe if you want that it doesn’t matter.
Fine....
I’d believe that God wants His Children to know His Plans.
Folks like you will not see the gathering into the clouds to meet the Lord int he air. All you will get to witness is hundreds of millions suddenly disappearing from this 4D realm, these three of space coordinate and one of time. The gathering unto Him happens in a greater coordinate system, in what I wouold call hyper-dimensional reality. We know at least one such a coordinate system exists from scenes in the Old Testament, like Daniel 5.
And as you try to muster up your scripture twists to refute, tell me what your spirit body looks like. Explain why you cannot see, taste, touch, orsmell your spirit body ... you know, the spirit body that does not turn to atomuic dust when your physical body dies?
And of course all manner of scoffers willbe rooting you on, dead soul.
We as American Christians have had it so so easy. I am thankful for that. Persecution is a scary topic, so pre-trib is easier to accept.
Even if these are not the end times, and they might not be....if things keep going the way they are in this country we may experience persecution first hand. Jesus said something to the effect that all who believe will suffer persecution. Historically this has been the case....except for these past few hundred years in the West.
Indeed bro!
That verse is gold to those looking for their Blessed Hope!
Save for later
Or
After;)
.
When the
Good Lord calls
Me Home, it will be
His Time,
Not mine.
Fool, look up an essay by Holy Deyo on the Rapture. She lists many many references from the early Church Fathers speaking to the Rapture of the Church. Ken Johnson has found an example in the Dead Sea Scrolls, too! You really should stop spittling what others claim and do some real research for yourself ... unless you just like making a fool of yourself.
Christians of all birth are now among the Tribes of Israel. We are spiritually the sons of Jacob. That takes care of 1-2-3 and 4.
5. This is a total misread. THE AUTHOR was in the spirit
6. Circumstantial, it only makes sense if you accept the premise.
7. appointed us not to wrath but to obtain.... that is a future event according the the past tense wording.
OTHERS have at it, this is not fun at all. We will be taken when it happens, prepare for the worst, hope for the best.
There is a verse where we are told that Father himself will shorten the days, or even the Elect would be deceived. So number 1, the Elect are still on the Earth and number 2 the deception is in full force.
Go back all the way to Matthew 24:15. He’s talking about the A/C standing in the temple and desecrating it - just like Daniel spoke of. The only people who would care about that would be Jews.
Who cares about work on the Sabbath? Jews.
Or anyone who wants to end up in heaven, showing Christ that they love Him enough to keep His commandments, a concept that you clearly don’t understand.
So all you have illustrated is your inability to rightly divide the Word! Matthew 23-25 is given to Jews and refers to the Time of Jacob’s Troubles not to the church. The Church is not even reveled untilo AFTER Jesus resurrects. But just keep proving your inadeqauacies, it is almost amusing.
How long is A Day in Prophecy?
Apostasy comes first!
Apostasy means departure.
1 Thessalonians 1:9-10
“you turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God, and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, that is Jesus, who rescues us from the wrath to come.”
1 Thessalonians 5:9
For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ

Noah’s flood was God’s Judgement.
He saved Noah and 7 others out of that Judgement.
The Tribulation will be far worse than the flood. The point of it, is to deal with rebellion - just like the flood.
Believers have been persecuted by Satan and his minions since The Church began. There is a difference.

Please ask MHG to show you an actual example of the dead sea scroll where the reference appears.
“How could they be?
He hadn’t died for them or risen yet.”
I see, so they were asking Jesus of the sign of his coming (return) at the end of the world, but they weren’t Christians. They called him “Christ”, yet they were not Christians. He spoke to them of preaching the Gospel throughout the world, but of course, they were not Christians.
“He’s talking about the A/C standing in the temple and desecrating it - just like Daniel spoke of. The only people who would care about that would be Jews.”
Seems like an awful lot of Christians care about that even today.
“Who cares about work on the Sabbath? Jews.”
Well, I guess if you want to discount the majority Christian opinion on the subject, okay.
If He knew we wouldn’t have to go through the tribulation, he might have mentioned it. He didn’t.
But I’m not going to further divide His Church by arguing about it. I will say this though, the thief on the cross wasn’t even, as far as Scripture says, baptized, yet where is he now?
Re 30: God bless you!
They believed in Him so much that they ran off for their lives when He was crucified - save John.
Is there a Temple today?
Is one about to be built maybe?
If you want to really dive into the meaning of “elect” try to connect that word in the Bible with the context of who it’s describing. Matthew 24 is pointing at Jews in that context.
