We are to abstain from all appearance of evil, and that's the spirit of the law. The way you live your life, who you hang out with, matters. If somebody can look at the way you're living, who you're hanging out with, and how you're going about things and go, “Hmm? Wonder what's going on there?” Well, you’ve got a problem and it calls for some personal introspection. And some things are just unavoidable.
I heard this funny Dr. Ruckman story about how a rumor got started that he was a smoker. Yep, there was this rumor down in Pensacola that Dr. Ruckman smoked cigars and he finally tracked it back to the source and figured out where it came from. He said that the whole thing had to do with the fact that one day he was crossing the road in his vehicle and he had this beef jerky stick. Well, he needed both hands to make that turn so he stuck the beef jerky stick in his mouth. As he was driving across the road, he saw two or three church members pass while he was sitting there with the beef jerky stick in his mouth, and so after that people were saying that Dr. Ruckman smokes cigars.
So, I grant you that there's things that you can’t avoid. I understand that there's times that things sneak up on you, but at the same time you do understand that the outside does matter. It's not all about the outside, in fact; it's not even about the outside first, it's about the inside first; but somewhere along the way if you've been saved long enough and you're trying to do right the inside starts to squeak out to the outside and you start to look like what you are inside. And that needs to happen. It really does.
This woman comes and meets him, and she has on the attire of a harlot. You know what that is. You can't escape Walmart without seeing it at the magazine display at the registers. You can't escape the line at your local grocery store without seeing it. If you are trying to copy that in your own attire, you are wrong. It you are trying to copy that, you are wicked. If you are trying to tighten the shirts and lower the necklines and raise the hemlines and raise the slits, then I'm sorry you are wicked, and you need to quit, okay?
The spandex does not help you look slim. Those tight little skirts, they do not help the jelly belly. There are some things in life that are humorous. It’s pretty funny that people spend a lot of time in the mirror and they don't see what’s there.

Women should especially not go to church looking like hookers.
Women dress seductively because they want to attract the attention of men. They know EXACTLY what they are doing and cannot claim ignorance about its effect on men.
And honestly, there are too many clothes out there today that simply should not be made in some sizes.
Tight does NOT make you look thinner. It makes you look even fatter because it accentuates every bulge, which is NOT at all attractive.
