Interesting speculation. I think the problem may be all the steps leading up to that -- from the beginnings of a planet, to life, to intelligent life, to technologically advanced life, to intergalactic-travelling life -- and not destroying that life and the planet or exhausting one's resources on the way. It's likely that there is life on other planets, but it may not be very likely that any of them have made that long trek.
Wanted the place run his way, the best I could tell.
Most unfortunate, however, he did have some good, or one might say at least interesting points about certain things...

Or perhaps by their way of “thinking,” we aren’t that interesting to begin with. Not worth a pit-stop for a pee break.
One theory says they showed up because we opened the atomic box and that attracted attention. . .

I think our closest brush with alien life might be if they discover the fossils of microbes on Mars but who knows? I tend to dislike both wild speculation on one side and the (usually) religious assertion that the Earth is all there is on the other side.
