“Joe Biden ate and drank his own spiritual death,” wrote Austin Ruse, president of the Center for Family and Human Rights, after Biden had attended Mass at D.C.’s Cathedral of St. Matthew just hours before his inauguration.
“That he received the Holy Eucharist from the hands of a Cardinal of the Church adds scandal upon scandal,” continued Ruse. “One radio wag called it a mass for Planned Parenthood. And so, it was.”

If you willingly refuse to follow the Catholic faith then you need to leave the faith. It’s not up to the faith to conform to your perverse views.
Even though he is married, every time I saw Kaine speak on tv, it would set off my gaydar...
‘”Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) said he is worried that “even an unsuccessful effort to mandate the withholding of Communion from American public officials could lead more bishops and priests to freelance and deny Communion in their own dioceses and parishes.”’
How dare the Church deny Communion to people just because the like to kill babies.
I thought it was “patriotic to disagree”.
This wouldn’t be an issue if more of the bishops had anything resembling a spine. Start speaking clearly with one voice exactly what the Church has always taught clearly. Stop with the “God is all Love” pablum without teaching that God is also all Justice. Start teaching about Hell again and stop being so diplomatic and namby-pamby. After one clear warning, these dissenting politicians should publicly and pointedly be getting the medicinal slap-down of excommunication. Anything less is endangering their souls and giving scandal to the faithful and to the world.
Like Francis a Jesuit.

Now politicians believe they are religious leaders as well. Pray that God responds.
I am Orthodox and I know that withholding communion is a spiritual discipline for the good of the person, so he does not receive the eucharist in a state of serious sin. It makes clear the necessity of the person to confess and repent. I know of an Orthodox couple who were denied communion because they were living together without marriage.
All kinds of Christians, until fairly recently, have taught that having an abortion or procuring an abortion for someone else is a serious sin. Catholic politicians who vote pro-abortion always say they are not pro-abortion, but pro-choice. Who really believes that? If they took the condition of their souls seriously they would have to change their position. Instead, they demand that the church affirm them in their sin.
Yet if they lobby for gay and trans issues, that would be okay with Tim.
The bishops are starting to move on prolife as the laity demand it. This is one area where we need to cooperate and communicate to our individual bishops and parish priests.
Those who say they are Catholic, are not, but do lie.
