The comment you replied to was jokingly calling out a welcomed lack of a usual nod to the sodomical community in statements like this - and hence a link to gateway and Mr. Hoft...
If one was unaware of the situation - Though I do not know if Mr. Hoft is just SSA afflicted or a willful participant in certain activities - that someone may not get it the Gateway link association humor. As usual..it's all good.

So is Jorge? Old gay friend of his, Luigi, was active in promoting homo, but quit that when pope was elected, and switched to fighting the mafia instead. Maybe that’s why it’s one of Bergoglio’s pet projects. The video of the two walking hand-in-hand down a quiet back street in Italy has been scrubbed.
