“Her origins in the open side of Our Blessed Lord on the Cross”
Glad to see this clarified with Pentecost around the corner. Many people misunderstand Pentecost as the beginning of the Church. It’s only the beginning of the public ministry. The foundation of the Church is the opening of Christ’s side with blood (sacrifice) and water (baptism).

Jesus told his disciples to tarry in Jerusalem until they would receive the ‘promise of the Father’, which is the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
Fast forward to Cornelius and household hearing the word of God, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost (for Peter and company heard them speak in tongues, glorifying God). Then later, Peter, back in Jerusalem, testified to the brethern:
“And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.” Acts 11:15
This.
Well put.
Noticing the crucifix in my mother’s house, my 4-year old asked,”Grandma, why is YOUR Jesus still on the cross?”
The resurrection of Christ came after His death. He led the captives out of their captivity.
The start of the Church Age is marked by the indwelling Holy Spirit, as promised by my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It was the day when God’s power for living and doing His will (including building His Church) was given to His saints.
Say what you will, but if you deny these things, here’s a warning: You’ve been told.
If you don’t hear the Truth about these matters, God is not speaking to you.
