“There’s an excellent case to be made that Joseph Ratzinger, AKA Benedict XVI, is still pope.”

Ah, I see. OK, well that would be preferred and it has been insufficiently discussed how this came about. And Ratzinger lives to this day.

Something not Kosher about the whole thing. But we remain in the dark.

I am still very concerned about this, although I am no longer a Catholic. Is it because of this? No. Was this in anyway an inducement to stay? Heck no.

“I am no longer a Catholic.”

Please come back to the Church. Don’t deprive yourself of the consolation of the Holy Eucharist because of confused teaching and dissent among SOME MEMBERS of the Church. The Church Herself remains Holy.

A Pope CAN resign or even turn down his election. It’s happened before. Francis was elected in a legitimate conclave. I preferred the leadership of Benedict and John Paul but Francis IS the true Pope in 2021. Focus on the fact that Christ guides His Church despite waves of confusion, dissent, and scandal. Keep your EYES on HIM.
