Baptism is being “born again”

Jesus said to the religious leader of his time, "if you do not believe in me, you will die in your sins" (John 8:24). Jesus, not Church, shed his blood for sinners and receiving Him gives one eternal life.

[B]y the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you [Jews] crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders [Jews], which has become the chief cornerstone.’ Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

Acts 4:10-12.

The name of Jesus, not any Church, and believing and receiving Him, is the only way anyone is saved.
