Judas betrayed Jesus, and when he realized fully what he’d done, he hung himself and cemented his fate.
Peter denied Jesus, and when he realized fully what he’d done, he repented at the feet of the Lord.
Some people believe that Judas was the most favored disciple of Jesus. We have a hard time with that because the actions of Judas took our beloved Lord away. But on a higher level, without the actions of Judas there would have been no crucifixion...at that time anyhow.
