There are different kinds of Atheists. Most seem to simply not believe themselves and think it fine that others believe. Then there are those that are convinced its probably harmful to believe and people ought not probably, but are not passionate about it and not focused on it much. Then there are the Atheist Zealots like Dawkins and others which have open contempt for religion. These people are cultish in their convictions. They may not believe God exists, but they think they understand God better than anyone...telling those that believe in God exactly what God is all about and why God is impossible etc.
Atheism is a religion.

Transgenderism is a fundamentalist religion.
