Typically, I screen out paintings with dual or triple scenes, like diptychs and triptychs, finding that most are confusing or distracting to the topic I'm illustrating. But Gaugin's seemed sufficiently unobtrusive; besides, how often do I get to post a Gaugin?!
Huh. Right. How many 'religious' painting did he do? Have you posted any? (I don't remember).
