Many of my favorite artists to illustrate this event! Thanks. Of interest is #17, one of the panels around the baptismal font in the Siena Baptistery. You posted another panel with the Annunciation to Zacharias. It is a 15th c. work in marble, bronze and enamel, each panel made by a different artist.
It’s one thing to illustrate beautifully an infants’ baptismal font, and they certainly did that. I wonder, though, whether a full-scale adult dunking font has ever been adorned similarly in some Baptist church somewhere.
