Be Made Whole

God is a wonderful healer, but God is not just a healer He is also a restorer. And I think sometimes we cut God short and think we have to put up with things just because we can handle it or deal with it. But, God doesn't want you trying to deal with it God wants it gone completely. Notice, in 1John 3:8 it says that Jesus was manifested to destroy the works of the devil. Does that sound like God wanting you to try to deal with it. He wants it and every trace of it destroyed and you be made whole. He wants you to be not just healed, but restored/whole. What does restored mean, to return to it's original state. And whole means complete, nothing missing

Notice, in Mark 3:1-5 there was a man with a withered hand and when Jesus saw him he told him to stand up and when he did Jesus told him to stretch forth his hand and he stretched it out (watch the wording) and his hand was restored whole as the other. Notice, his hand was not just healed but restored whole. So, at some point his hand was whole like the other because it was restored. So, because of some sickness or condition or something it was in that state. He could have had some fingers missing or some deformity, but he was made restored (whole). In fact in hebrew that's one of the meanings of peace - completeness/nothing missing.

You see the same thing in Matthew 15:30,31 a great multitude followed Jesus with people lame, blind, dumb(can't speak), maimed(people with missing body parts), and many others and they cast them down at Jesus feet and he healed them. And notice that he made the dumb to speak, the maimed to be made whole(whatever was missing was restored), the lame to walk, and the blind to see. Notice, the wording the maimed to be made whole/complete. So, whatever was not there was restored back whole. God wants you with a whole body, with nothing missing.

You see in Luke 17:12-19 that there were 10 lepers that asked Jesus to have mercy on them and he told them to go show themselves to the priest and as they went they were cleansed. But, only one of them turned back to give thanks and to him Jesus said, "Arise, go thy way: thy faith has made you whole/complete. Because leprosy could have caused him to have some body part that had to be amputated, but Jesus made him whole. So, maybe someone had a condition that required something to be cut off or cut out don't cut God short it can be restored and you can be made whole. Why does God want you whole and not just healed because He's just that good and loves you that much.
