I would find a different church if the priest called the police because I was not wearing a mask. There are a lot of choices at least where we live, when it comes to choosing a church.

Well perhaps you and I have different definitions of "religious affiliation". Leaving a particular church building or parrish is one thing. Leaving the Church is another.

No, what we have is called a misunderstanding. Did you even read the article before posting your foul mouthed response to my post???

If you have given your heart to Christ, but you find that you are going to a church with leadership that is providing a poor example to you and your children... then it is time to move on to a different Church and possibly to a different denomination. Can you even imagine the effect on a child of seeing your parent shackled by the police and hauled off to jail at the request of your priest or minister.

It is unbelievable to me that you seem to have no concept of what this would be like or what effect this would have on this woman's children. As far as I am concerned someone who would set this type of chain of events in motion over this nonsense has no business in a leadership position in the house of the Lord and the wishy washy “Bishop” who refused to do anything about the situation or even apologize for what happened is a poor example of what it should mean to be a Christian leader as well.

Oh calm down. I read the article and I read your comment. Your comment sounded like you were saying they should change “church affiliation” from Catholic to something else. If that’s not what you meant, then just say so.

And certainly when I know I’m talking to a lady I tend to watch every word I post more closely. When I’m talking to what I think is a man I might let it go a little. Inappropriate either way? Maybe. But I have a strong suspicion that the pearl-clutchers who care are probably the least likely to be of any help in these rough times.

And you don’t get to decide who is or is not Christian.
