Indeed. My father died almost a year ago, March 27, 2020. He was a veteran and the strongest, most loyal man of character and servant of the Lord I have known. We miss him dreadfully, especially my mother who met him when she was 13 and he was 17. They were married for almost 67 years before God brought him home. In a book in his office I found these words:

“I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice- hesitate in the presence of the adversary- negotiate at the table of the enemy- ponder at the pool of popularity- or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I won’t give up, shut up, let up, until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, and preached up for the cause of Jesus Christ. I am a disciple of Jesus. I must go till He comes - give till I drop - preach till all know - and work till He stops me. And when He comes for His own, He will have no problem recognizing me. My banner will be clear.”

Now that’s cool! I gotta copy those words and put them in a prominent place in my residence. Thanks for sharing that!
