CNA Staff, Mar 15, 2021 / 12:00 pm MT (CNA).- A leading German Catholic bishop responded to the Vatican’s rejection of blessings for same-sex couples on Monday by saying that there were “no easy answers” to the issue.
Bishop Georg Bätzing, president of the German bishops’ conference, made the comment March 15 after the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF) clarified that the Catholic Church does not have the power to give liturgical blessings of homosexual unions, in a statement approved by Pope Francis.
Bätzing said that the CDF’s response to a question about the possibility of same-sex blessings reflected “the state of Church teaching as expressed in several Roman documents,” reported CNA Deutsch, CNA’s German-language news partner.
He continued: “In Germany and in other parts of the worldwide Church, there have been discussions for some time about the way in which this teaching and doctrinal development in general can be advanced with viable arguments -- on the basis of fundamental truths of faith and morals, progressive theological reflection, and also in openness to more recent results of the human sciences and the life situations of people today. There are no easy answers to questions of this kind.”

Because it isn’t easy to pick up a Bible to get God’s word on the subject.
WOW that must’ve taken a lot of thinking.
It seems easy enough to me.
The answers are in the Book.
The Krauts and queers ain’t gonna just raise the white flag on this one. Dollars to pesos, Bergoglio backs down, fires the CDF people who issued the decree and invites some nice LGBT couples to Santa Marta for coffee and biscotti. Any takers?
He doesn't take the obvious position that you would think a pope would take, like following the truth. Rather, he wants to allow for the position the German bishops want to take by allowing them to move against Church law, and then he doesn't say anything to them. So that once it catches on it just becomes part of the Church.
Frankie doesn't want to be seen as introducing wrong concepts, but if he lets others do it and he just turn his head, then his nefarious plan can take place and he does not get the media hit. Yah, he doesn't like the media breathing down his neck much.
He plans to introduce female deacons and homosexual "blessings" in this way. And once they catch one there is no way they can be removed. Or so he thinks.

Nope...because you’re gonna win that bet. It’s just a matter of time.
Actually, it isn't very difficult, sir. Try cracking open a Bible and reading it - specifically the parts about marriage and the purprose of the institution.

Pope Francis calls woman with sex-change operation a ‘man’ and calls partners ‘married’
Yes, but I’m predicting an imminent re-run. We’ll see. The story will likely be about how some renegade conservative(s) in the CDF slipped one by Humble Jorge when he was exhausted from his Iraq trip. But as soon as he rested up, Bergoglio was outraged at said sneaky right-winger who was shown the door toot suite. He’ll then host will some LGBT couples, and the Jim Martin et al. will declare that the Holy Father has signaled which side he’s *really on* and even though the CDF decree won’t be rescinded, it will be de facto rescinded because Pope Francis’ magisterium is in his actions, not in CDF documents, and time is greater than space. Or something.
blah blah blah
Exactly. God’s way or man’s way. Simple. Very simple.
Dam, sodomy must be one great thrill for these guys to twist the truth
