With a few relatively small exceptions, Indonesia is a pretty mellow Islamic country. Even so, there are a few things that are second nature to Westerners that don’t play too well there:

1. Nude sunbathing and then putting it Facebook for all to see.
2. Organizing a ‘gay pride’ parade through the middle of Jakarta.

In other words, show some RESPECT there, if you visit.

During the Clinton administration, Indonesian Muslims killed 8,000 Christians. Our press called it "ethic conflicts." Is that mellow enough for you?
