We could go back and forth forever, and never change each other’s minds. I’m not going to argue with you. I’m a born again Christian, and I have no idea your religious affiliation, but it obviously doesn’t agree with mine. So be it. If the Holy Spirit, who is our teacher, counselor, and revealer of Scripture has anything to say to either one of us, I, for one, welcome Him. Go in peace.

SDA CULTIST, WORSHIPER OF THE WHITE QUEEN, SPAWN OF SATAN, LIAR, DECEIVER, WORKER OF INIQUITY, WARLOCK, CASTER OF SPELLS, DEGENERATE, DEVOID OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, MOUSE SQUASHER, DENIAR OF THE TRUE RESTRAINER OF THE ANTICHRIST, and a bunch of other bad stuff.....according to MHGinTN and others. I just wanted you to be aware....(same thing I told CAWW). I’m not trying to hide anything from anyone. Full transparency. Take your best shot if you want to. I can take it, and I have. It just makes me stronger.

You are absolutely right! Only the Holy Spirit can open hardened hearts and minds to the truth of how amazing God's grace truly is. The corrupt human heart - which is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked - wants to boast of its own goodness and righteousness. God demands that we humbly accept what HE has done for us and not what we can/must do for Him. Those people Jesus spoke of who at their judgement pleaded, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’, weren't the "heathen" or the "ungodly", they were the boastful religious ones who trusted in their own merit to save them. They prided themselves on obeying all the Law/commandments, yet Jesus tells them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’. What did they miss? Like all man made religions, they stumbled at grace. They stumbled at the stumbling stone which is Jesus Christ.

Whether someone believes they must work to earn salvation or work to keep salvation (which is really the same thing), they are trusting in themselves and not Christ. Their eyes are closed to this truth and they're quick to condemn others who disagree with them. We're seeing it right here on this thread. We can speak the truth in love (planting) and pray for eyes and hearts to be opened (watering) and then leave it to the Holy Spirit who causes the growth.
