Doesn’t seem to matter how many times this is shown from Scripture there will always be those whose PRIDE prevents them from accepting it. We can lead a horse to water but we can’t make him drink. The Holy Spirit’s job is to cause the horse to recognize he’s thirsty and that right in front of him is the water but he still has to decide to drink it.
Adding anything to Grace or After Grace is making Grace conditional. The lost cannot see that because of ‘pride blinders’, unless the Holy Spirit convicts them.
I think some are so steeped in the doctrine beliefs of their church affiliation that the scriptures are simply ‘used’ to support what their church teaches rather than to search the scriptures and let God teach them what is true.
I say this for as I was seeking the truth, after several churches differed, I learned God’s Spirit does lead one to the truth of His word as God intends it to be and applied in our life. ..and as well false teachings we’ve been taught but question.
